Data entry jobs are fairly tough. Search on google for "india data entry jobs". In forum.agrispace.com you will get some listings of local data entry jobs.
Now one catch - data entry jobs are mostly local. If you live in Kolkata, search for the local classifieds, you'll see advertisements for data entry. People need someone to enter data from a printed document to excel. It can be old reports, tables, etc. I remember doing one for one historical society, they wanted me to type all data from a 1880 survey report on some bengal villages, done by an Englishman. The document was almost damaged, I recovered the data, typed it for a week and I got Rs. 10,000 or USD 250 for it.
Likewise, search for local companies. Outstation companies won't send you data as all these companies are very small. They don't even want to incurr courier or postal charges. Hard copy documents can't be sent by emails. You can send the typed data through emails.
Data entry jobs are very boring but pays well.
Internet sources of data entry jobs can be 123classifieds or rediff classifieds. Search the two sites well, they have city wise listing for data entry jobs.
